The lake at dawn

I had set an alarm. I never set alarms for photographs anymore; I do for this lake. There are about three minutes between when there is no light and when there is too much, and in those three minutes the mist either rises off the water or it does not, and you do not know which morning is which until you are there.

This was a yes morning.
